Teams Meeting Adjustments
Is there a way to make adjustments to meetings scheduled from MS Teams without firing out emails to all those invited. I want to make some changes to the descriptions.
I know there is a workaround for Outlook meetings (by taking the app offline) but when I try to update these meetings from my Outlook calendar I don’t have all the info (e.g. description) and don’t want to risk overwriting the MS Teams meeting link or anything else.
Thanks for any help
Hi Isabelle,
Thanks for reaching out.
While directly editing a Teams meeting without sending update notifications is currently not possible, here are some workarounds you can try to achieve your desired outcome:
Edit the Description from Within Teams:
- Open the Microsoft Teams app on your computer.
- Click on the “Calendar” tab.
- Locate the meeting you want to edit.
- Click on the meeting to open its details.
- Click on the “Edit” button next to the meeting description.
- Make the necessary changes to the description and click “Save.”
This method updates the meeting description within Teams without sending any notification emails. However, attendees might still see the updated description reflected in their calendar applications if the meeting information has already been synced.
